グリザイアの果実 -LE FRUIT DE LA GRISAIA- [Visual Novel Review] [NSFW]

Hi everyone... :D
First and foremost I would like to thank you for visiting my blog to read my posts in this blog.

This post is quite special because this is the first time I post a review about the visual novel that I'd played so far. And I intended to post more about this kind of review because I'm REALLY excited to share it with you guys.

Now, let's get started with it shall we?
Ok. The title of the visual novel that I'm about to share my review with you guys was called Grisaia no Kajitsu. In case if you guys haven't played it yet, there's an all-ages version being sold at steam and also the unrated version being sold at denpasoft.

Being published by Frontwing, character designed by fumio, nanaka mai & watanabe akio, I found that this visual novel quite good for me.

The background was very beautiful and blend very greatly with the story. It felt as if I was there, stood at the cliff side breathing fresh air while looking the waves crashes with the rock. It was very good in that aspect.

The story starts with our protagonist, Kazami Yuuji arrive at Mishima Cape just to be suspected as a suspicious person by a police officer. This gave us a brief introduction of our protagonist characteristics towards other people around him...

After he managed to freed himself from the police with some help, he continued his journey towards an ordinary school life at Mihama Academy (supposedly...).

At this point, you would met with the five heroines that would lead you deeper into the story in order to understanding each of their circumstances and problems.

While each of the route have a good story in it, some of them have their own flaws. This is what I felt about the routes:

In Amane's route, most of the story is part of her flashback so you might felt a bit bored reading it.Well in the end, I felt that her ending is filled with melancholic feeling. For those who had already watched the anime, amane's ending is a bit different in this visual novel. So you might want to read that. But nevertheless, her characteristic makes up for it, hehe... Moreover, if you like heavy skinship, then this route is for you.

Enough of that let's move on to the next route, Makina's route. Hers were quite funny since there were many jokes in it. If you are not into Loli you might want to read this route anyway since it also contains a bit flashback of Yuuji's past. So go for it! Her character itself was also funny to watched. Now, since her character is like that, you might wanna think that her route would be a funny happy ending story, the answer is no. Her route contains one of the saddest story in this visual novel, for me at least. So, prepare some tissue while reading this route for wiping you tears, not your *****.

As the story progress, you would slowly became attracted with the overall story and its character. All of the heroines in this VN had their own problem from the beginning.

In Michiru's route, her route is more sad and interesting than in the anime since you will know a lot more about her past, but I didn't say that they change the plot in her story. In the anime, it summarize quite a lot of the plot in her route. So, if you want to tear up more, again you must read this VN. It's super GOOD!

Anyway if you're more into maids, then Sachi's route is the one for ya. Sachi's is a super obedient maid, ready to take any order at anytime anywhere and by everyone and that's also due to her problem in the past. Her problem somehow are related with Yuuji's past for a bit. This sums up to two characters in this VN apart from Amane's route that whose past also connected with Yuuji's past. This one is also a tear jerked route.

And lastly we have Yumiko who is a 25% kuu, 25% tsun, 50% dere girl in the dorm of Mihama Academy. She's the girl who managed to capture my heart in this VN. Her route is also an interesting route to play since you will experience a fugitive like experience in some event in this route. Although sadly at certain event you might feel like skipping since it felt like the scenario was being repeated again and again until at some point, you might feel like saying "Why the heck you keep going at the same place when knowing it's dangerous?!" However, the ending makes up for it since you will became emotionally sad by the story about trying to repairing the bad relationship in a family.

And that basically conclude all the routes in this VN. I guarantee if you like to read about tragedy and slice of life, Grisaia no Kajitsu is the one for you. I must say, I really felt grateful for the people who translate this VN officially or unofficially. You know who you are.

And did I tell you yet that this VN had a sequel with a officially translate all-ages version in steam and an ongoing 18+ translation version. Check it out to find out.

Overall score: 4.5/5

Summary:

Pros:

(i) Good graphics!

(ii) An amazingly good storyline.

(iii) Nice H-scene graphics! (again it is graphic that wins the readers/players)

(iv) Fantastic soundtrack!

(v) Absolute hilarious comedy scene.

Cons:

(i) Plots can be boring sometimes in some event.

(ii) Have only heroines route, which may leave the readers in a hangover when reading the sequel (maybe)...

And that's it for my first time reviewing a visual novel.
Thank you for spending your time reading it.
